AI Document Preparation

Prepare PDFs, DOCX files, notes, HTML, and ZIP bundles before sending them into ChatGPT, Claude, RAG, or analyst workflows.

AI tools are only as good as the context they receive. FileDigest prepares messy source documents into a reusable digest.md and manifest.json so the next AI step starts from inspectable material instead of an opaque upload.

What this solves

  • combine PDFs, DOCX files, Markdown, text, HTML, and ZIP bundles
  • convert files into Markdown that can be reviewed before prompting
  • keep source boundaries visible
  • generate a manifest for file counts, page counts, token estimates, warnings, and artifacts
  • download the prepared context pack for reuse across tools

Use it before

  • ChatGPT research sessions
  • Claude project knowledge
  • RAG ingestion
  • AI coding assistants
  • consulting or analyst packet review
  • literature review workflows

How the workflow works

  1. Upload a document packet.
  2. FileDigest stores the files privately under your job.
  3. Modal runs the Docling processing engine.
  4. You download digest.md and manifest.json.
  5. You decide what to send into the downstream AI system.
