# FileDigest Benchmark Checklist

Use this checklist with a small representative packet before scaling usage or publishing claims.

## Packet

- [ ] One text-based PDF
- [ ] One OCR-heavy PDF, if OCR is enabled on the plan
- [ ] One DOCX file
- [ ] One Markdown or plain-text note
- [ ] One ZIP containing mixed supported files

## Inspect

Score each item from 0 to 2.

| Check | Score | Notes |
| --- | ---: | --- |
| Every accepted file appears in the manifest | | |
| Page counts are plausible for PDFs and DOCX files | | |
| Source IDs remain visible in the digest | | |
| Important tables remain readable or are clearly warned about | | |
| Manifest warnings explain imperfect inputs | | |
| Digest and manifest download through authenticated routes | | |
| The digest can support a defined ChatGPT, Claude, RAG, or analysis prompt | | |

## Self-Test Read

This score is a practical self-test heuristic, not a certified benchmark. A packet is promising when most checks score `2` and there are no privacy, access-control, or silent-data-loss failures.
